An Arc of Ancient Kashmir

The ancient history of Kashmir is a subject of interest and study, with various sources providing insights into its past. The name "Kashmir" has ancient origins and is believed to have been mentioned in texts dating back to the 5th century BC. The region has a rich cultural and historical heritage, influenced by Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam over the centuries. Archaeological excavations in Kashmir have revealed significant cultural phases between 3000 BCE and 1000 BCE. The Burzahom archaeological site, located in the Kashmir Valley, provides insights into the Neolithic and Megalithic eras in the region.
