About 674 species of birds have been observed in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, each region has its own specialties. Orange Bulfinch, Kashmir Nutcracker, Kashmir Nuthatch, Spectacled Finch, Pink-browed Rose Finch and Black-and-yellow Grosbeak are some of the local beauties to chase while on a Kashmir birding tour. Whereas on a Ladakh birding trip, the prize catches are: Black-necked Crane (state bird of Jammu and Kashmir), Long-billed Bush Warbler (rarely sighted and you would be lucky to clap your eyes on one), Bar-headed Goose, Brown-headed Gull, Tibetan Sandgrouse, Tibetan Snow Finch and Mongolian Finch.

Day 01 - Arrival Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar airport, our office representative will meet and greet you outside the airport terminal building, and transfer you to Houseboat "Loin of Kashmir".
(Srinagar, bewitches not only the tourists who visit here but every person who shares this beautiful land. It is called the city of lakes and the Venice of the East with snow laden great Himalayan Mountains all around. In the lap of these mountains lie the glittering lakes that are surrounded by houseboat and Shikaras and the majesty of Mughal architecture. Spread on both sides of the river Jhelum the city is famous for its natural beauty, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats. The very absence of order in the location of the houses and their tumbled down appearance add a peculiar charm to the scenery. It has its own quaint lifestyle, telling a panoramic fairy-tale tour through the snow-capped mountains and Chinar trees, while enjoying the adventurous pleasures of hiking, mountain biking, and rafting. The city is also famous for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruit.)
In the afternoon, Enjoy bird watching in Nigeen lake to spot species like, Mallard, Eurasian, Eurasian Coot, Black-headed Gull, Little Grebe, Great Cormorant, Little Egret, Indian Pond-Heron, Black Kite, Common Kingfisher, Pied Kingfisher, Yellow-billed Blue-Magpie, Eurasian Jackdaw, House Crow, Himalayan Bulbul, Common Myna, House Sparrow, Northern Shoveler, Green-winged Teal, Green Sandpiper, White-throated Kingfisher, Gray Wagtail, White Wagtail, Blue Whistling-Thrush, Himalayan Bluetail, Rosy Pipit, Scaly-bellied Woodpecker, Asian Tit, Brownish-flanked Bush Warbler, Streaked Laughingthrush.

Day 02 - Day trip to Gulmarg
After leisurely breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve, located about 48 kilometers southwest of Srinagar. This reserve offers a chance to see species like the Kashmir Roller, Himalayan Snowcock, and Black Bulbul.
After Lunch enjoy a gondola ride on one of the world's highest gondolas for an incredible view of the snow-clad Himalaya Mountains. It passes through the Kongdori station that is located at an elevation of 8,530 ft and the second leg of the ride takes people to the Apharwat mountain top at a height of 13,500 ft. One can catch sweeping and magnificent views of the Nanda Devi Peak and the Pir Panjal range along the way. The ride from Gulmarg to Kongdori takes about 10 minutes and from Kongdori to Apharwat takes 12 minutes.
Drive back to Srinagar.

Day 03 - Yusmarg
After breakfast, checkout houseboat and proceed towards Yusmarg.
(Meadows of Jesus or Yusmarg is known for its long stretches of green pastures. An ideal tourist attraction that in its humblest of ways teaches to revere nature, Yusmarg is a proud part of the Valley of Kashmir)
On arrival in Yusmarg check in guest house or homestay for 01-night stay.
Birdwatching in the serene landscapes of Yusmarg, known for its diverse avian population and some other species like, Kashmir flycatcher, little bittern, European bee eater , Tawny owl, Kashmir nutcracker.
In the Evening Return to your accommodation for rest. BD
Day 04 - Yusmarg to Srinagar
After leisurely breakfast, leave for early morning bird watching with the sunrise from this beautiful meadow. After that, drive to Srinagar.
On arrival in Srinagar, check in Houseboat "Lion of Kashmir".
In the afternoon, leave for the sightseeing to "Dachigam National Park".
Every wildlife and nature lover’s dream destination, the Dachigam National Park is quite famous for its fiery autumn display.
During October, fall foliage is at its peak, and you can find yourself amidst the beautiful fall hues of gold, orange and red. Apple, walnut, wild cherry, oak, chestnut, chinar, pine and are some of the trees in this area, making it an exciting place to visit as the leaves change.
You can simply take a walk down the jungle trails and explore all the outdoor fun this place offers. Listening to the chorus of the crickets and breathing in the autumnal freshness that lingers in the air truly creates a lasting impact on the mind.
From ancient trees to birds, beetles, grasses, wildflowers and Hangul (Kashmiri stag), Dachigam National Park is one of the best places to flock to during autumn.
In the evening, relax at your houseboat or explore the surroundings. BD
Day 05 - Departure
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Srinagar depending on your departure time, you may have some last-minute birding or shopping in Srinagar and after that drive to Srinagar airport to connect your flight back to home. B
