Kashmir is a region known for its breathtaking natural beauty, picturesque landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. It is located in the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent and is divided between India, Pakistan, and China. The Indian-administered portion of Kashmir is a union territory called Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, Ladakh is a region located in the eastern part of Kashmir. It is known for its rugged terrain, high-altitude deserts, and ancient Buddhist monasteries. Administratively, Ladakh is divided between India and Pakistan. The Indian-administered portion of Ladakh is a union territory. Ladakh is also known for its vibrant cultural festivals, such as the Hemis Festival and the Losar Festival, which showcase traditional music, dance, and religious rituals.

Day 01 - Arrival Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar airport, our office representative will meet and greet you outside the airport terminal building, and transfer you to Hotel "Nadis".
(Srinagar, bewitches not only the tourists who visit here but every person who shares this beautiful land. It is called the city of lakes and the Venice of the East with snow laden great Himalayan Mountains all around. In the lap of these mountains lie the glittering lakes that are surrounded by houseboat and Shikaras and the majesty of Mughal architecture. Spread on both sides of the river Jhelum the city is famous for its natural beauty, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats. The very absence of order in the location of the houses and their tumbled down appearance add a peculiar charm to the scenery. It has its own quaint lifestyle, telling a panoramic fairy-tale tour through the snow-capped mountains and Chinar trees, while enjoying the adventurous pleasures of hiking, mountain biking, and rafting. The city is also famous for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruit.)

Day 02 - Sightseeing tour of Srinagar
After breakfast, visit the Shankaracharya hill where the temple is located on top-hill.
(The Shankaracharya hill and the temple is a hallmark of the city of Srinagar. It is a very historic hill. It is 5kms away from Srinagar and at the height of 1100m above sea level. The peak of the hill always makes a picturesque and a magnificent view of the vast Dal Lake, houseboats and surrounding areas from one side and the snow-clad mountains, habitation of the South Kashmir and dense forests from the other sides.) After that enjoy a sight-seeing tour of the Mughal Gardens.
Chashma Shahi- "The Royal spring"- The garden presents the Mughal architecture and artistically build gardens has Iranian influence in its art and architecture and the design is based on the Persian gardens. It is built around a fresh water spring, which flows through its centre in terraces. The water of spring is believed to have some medicinal properties.
Nishat Bagh- "The Garden of pleasure"- It is second largest Mughal Garden on the eastern side of Dal Lake, representing the zodiac signs and offer splendid views of the Dal Lake and rectangular layout in Persian style garden architecture from East to West direction housing a few Mughal buildings.
Shalimar Bagh- "Abode of Love"- It is the largest Mughal Garden in Srinagar with full of immense beauty with wonderful vistas and shallow terraces. The Persian lilacs are still huge tourist draw in summers, a preceded by flowering of the cherry trees. The stepping stones across the stream are a delight to use.
In the afternoon, leave for a tour of Medieval city of Srinagar visiting famous Mosque Shah-i-Hamdan- situated on the banks of Jhelum in the centre of the city. It is one of the oldest mosques (drive past) built by Sultan Sikander around 1400. The mosque is built on timber and was constructed without any nails. Both frontage and interiors are covered in painted papier-mâché work. It was founded by Persian saint Mir Sayed Ali Hamdani, and it is likely that his retinue introduced Kashmiris to the Persian art of fine carpet- making. Later, visit local market of Jamia Masjid and a light walk through the old city. You may wish to visit Kashmir Government Emporium to look out for carpets, saffron, pashminas, exquisite embroidery, and intricate jewellery.

Day 03 - Gulmarg Day Trip (52 Kms, 2 Hours approx. each way)
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, a popular winter ski destination. It is transformed by a colourful carpet of wild blooms in summers, earning it the name 'Meadow of Flowers'. Enroute stop at Kanihma - a little village to see the dying art of Kani Shawl weaving. Then start the climb to Gulmarg through fir-covered hillsides.
In the afternoon, enjoy a gondola ride on one of the world's highest gondolas for an incredible view of the snow-clad Himalaya Mountains. It passes through the Kongdori station that is located at an elevation of 8,530 ft. and the second leg of the ride takes people to the Apharwat mountain top at a height of 13,500 ft. One can catch sweeping and magnificent views of the Nanda Devi Peak and the Pir Panjal range along the way. The ride from Gulmarg to Kongdori takes about 10 minutes and from Kongdori to Apharwat takes 12 minutes.
(With rolling green meadows carpeted by bushes of wild flowers blending into snow-clad mountains, whose peaks peep into the clouds, and mountain streams rushing by, Gulmarg is sheer poetry in nature. While this is the summer landscape of this tiny hamlet in Kashmir, in winter, it is transformed into a white wonderland, with skiers making a beeline for its famous slopes. The scenic valley of Gulmarg is a little piece of paradise cocooned by the mighty snow-clad mountains of the Pir Panjal range. Emerald green meadows, deep ravines and pine-forested hills make this meadow of flowers (the meaning of Gulmarg) an ethereal sight that has inspired poets and artists for centuries.)

DAY 04 - Kargil (210 Kms, 4 to 5 Hours approx.)
After Breakfast drive directly to Kargil enroute visit Sonamarg. Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonamarg – 84 Kms is also called as "The meadow of gold" has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Stop at Sonamarg for Photography/tea (If the clients are interested, they can visit the Glaciers of Thajiwas on ponies on direct payment basis) these glaciers remain throughout the year. Continue your drive towards Kargil and passing over Zojila Pass. Stop at Drass, the 2nd coldest inhabitant place in the World for & enjoy cup of tea. Then drive along the Drass River till one arrives at Kargil & Check in at hotel.

DAY 05 - Kargil to Leh (218 Kms, 5-6 Hours approx.)
After breakfast Drive for Leh enroute visiting the Monastery of Mulbekh, famous for 1st century Statue of Maitrya Buddha, carved out of a huge rock. Proceed further towards Lamayuru & passing thru Namikala & Fatula Passes, the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh road. (which is a little above the actual confluence). Lamayuru belongs to the Dringungpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. The history of the monastery begins with the visit of Arahat Nimagung to this place, when there was merely a lake here. It is said that Arahat made a prophecy that "a monastery will come up at this spot" and he made offerings (prayer with grains of corn) to the Nag serpent spirits. The corns mixed with the earth and formed in the shape of Swastika (Yungdrung), later it came to be known as Yungdrung Monastery. The Great Translator Rinchen Zangpo constructed a temple here in eleventh century. Naropa also visited Lamayuru and meditated here. Gelukpa or Kadampa school of Tibetan Buddhism initially looked after by Lamayuru, but later; it was taken over by Dringungpa Order.

DAY 06 - Leh Sightseeing
In the morning after breakfast, leave to explore Spituk Monastery also known as Spituk Gompa or Pethup Gompa, a Buddhist monastery. It is situated on a hilltop; it was established in the 11th Century by Od - De. The word 'Spituk' means exemplary.
After that visit, Gurudwara Pather Sahib - where Guru Nanak Dev ji, founder of the Sikh religion is believed to have conquered a demon.
(Legend has it that once Guru Nakak ji was meditating at this place and a demon had thrown a big rock to obstruct his prayers but the boulder turned into soft wax that failed to harm him, seeing this the demon asked for penance for his deed and Guru Nanak ji forgave him. The boulder with the imprint of the body of Guru Nanak Dev and the footprint of the demon is on display in Gurdwara Pathar Sahib. Albeit, the area is known majorly for Buddhism but Gurudwara Pathar Sahib is equally worshipped by anyone who visits this place. It is maintained by the Indian Army.)
The next stop will be Magnetic Hill - the place where gravity takes a backseat. It is a gravity hill located near Leh. The hill road is actually a downhill road, objects and cars on the hill road may appear to roll uphill in defiance of gravity when they are, in fact, rolling downhill.
After that drive to Sangam - 48 km drive from Leh and is the confluence of the rivers Indus and the Zanskar. The two rivers can be separately seen meeting at this point. The Indus River appears Blue and The Zanskar appears muddy green.

DAY 07 - Leh Sightseeing
In the morning after breakfast, leave to visit Shey Palace - the 3-story palace, once the residence of the royal family.
After that visit, Thiksey Monastery - Located approximately 19 kms from Leh City, Thiksey monastery is famous for its 3 story Maitreya Buddha’s statue and the architectural resemblance of the monastery to that of Potala Palace of Lhasa in Tibet.
The next stop will be, Hemis Monastery - a Tibetan Buddhist monastery (gompa) of the Drukpa Lineage, in Hemis, Ladakh, India. Situated 45 km from Leh, the monastery was re-established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal.
After that visit, Stok Palace - It houses a museum containing an interesting collection of exhibits including the King`s crown and ceremonial dress, the Queen`s turquoise headdress and other jewellery, some Armor and a set of Thankas dating from the reign of Tashi Namgyal.
(Stok Palace is the reflection of the glorious days of Namgyal rule in Ladakh. Dating back to 1820, this top place to see near Leh is almost 200 years old. Stok Palace marks the final phase of the evolution of fortified palace residences characteristic of Indus Valley or Singey Sangpo region.)

DAY 08 - Pangong Lake (225 Kms, 6 Hours approx.)
After breakfast transfer from Leh to Pangong. The Ladakh range is crossed by the Chang-la (18,000 feet / 5,475 M) which despite its great elevation is one of the easier passes, remaining open for much of the year even in winter, apart from periods of actual snowfall. Tangse, just beyond the foot of the pass, has an ancient temple. Leave for walk at Pangong Lake, a highest salt water lake in the World, shared by two countries India (25%) & China (75%), enjoy the beauty of lake on banks of the lake while appreciating the changing colours of fascinating high-altitude lake.

DAY 09 - Pangong to Leh (225 Kms, 6 Hours approx.)
After Breakfast, drive back to Leh.

DAY 10 - Departure Leh
Transfer to Leh airport for your departure from Leh.
