Sir Aurel Stein called Mohandmarg’ his ‘own little kingdom’. It is a verdant alpine grazing ground hidden in the mountains to the north of Srinagar about 25 kilometers along the road to Leh.

Mohandmarg is an ideal virgin meadow to discover and enjoy when it is awash with alpine flowers like many species of Primulas, and Gentiana in summer and scented with Blue Pine and Deodar trees. Views of the meadow offer a stunning mountain beauty.

On your visit to Mohandmarg “Indus Discoveries” will be your camp-retainer. It will take care of all arrangements to let you be our privileged guest. We assure you that your holiday will be a tale for the children or your grandchildren! Or simply, one more page in the book that celebrates the Kashmir legacy of the Great Pioneer Sir Aurel Stein. He was a sanskiritist, he translated our historical book Raj Tarangni into English. As a tribute for his gift to Kashmir we have installed a memorial stone in Mohand Marg in his memory.

Day 01- Arrival Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar airport, our office representative will meet and greet you outside the airport terminal building, and transfer you to your hotel.

Rest of the Evening at leisure. Stay overnight in the Hotel. D

Day 02 - Brari Pathri (25 Kms/1-2 hours)

After breakfast, leave for Anderwan Village by private car.

Your trek will start from Anderwan village to Brari Pathri/Ring Pathri which is 2 Kms trek where you will camp among the mountain communities along the banks of Nalla Satvas.

Rest of the evening at leisure. Stay overnight in the Tented Camp. B L D

Day 03 - Mohandmarg (12 Kms/ 3 hours)

After breakfast, start your day with fresh aroma of the surroundings filled with fresh flowers, Pine and Deodar Trees. The next stop will be Wantrag which is 1.5 Kms from Brari Pathri where you can have tea or Juices. Then again after 2 Kms you will reach Doba Jungle stay for a while there get some rest and climb towards Mohandmarg which is 6.5 Kms. Mohandmarg will be your Next Base Camp. From here if you wish you can explore other places like, Lal Marg (3 Kms), Kanidlau (5 Kms), Malood Gali or Malood Pass (10 Kms)

Day 04 - To Srinagar

After breakfast, drive to Srinagar and enjoy a sight-seeing tour of the Mughal Gardens there.

Chashma Shahi- ‘The Royal spring'- The garden presents the Mughal architecture and artistically build gardens has Iranian influence in its art and architecture and the design is based on the Persian gardens. It is built around a fresh water spring, which flows through its centre in terraces. The water of spring is believed to have some medicinal properties.

After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar airport for your return flight home. B
