Your spiritual journey begins with a visit to the Golden Temple of Amritsar, where the grandeur and grace of Sikhism will bewitch you and fill up your soul with the divine vigour. Traverse through the misty valleys of Dharamshala, peppered with lush tea plantations and temples. Unwind at the Queen of Hills, Shimla, where rhododendron and roses bloom amidst the oak and cedar forests. This is a truly epic journey that will enrich your soul and mind with serenity and benevolence.
Day 1. To Delhi
Departure from your home country to Delhi.
Day 2. Delhi To Amritsar
Arrival Delhi in the morning and then on board your connecting flight to Amritsar. Evening visit to the Golden Temple to experience the splendour of the Sukh Aasan ceremony. Two nights at Hotel Hyatt.
Day 3. Amritsar
Immerse yourself in spiritual energy with a morning visit to the Golden Temple, followed up by a trip to the nearby Jallianwala Bagh, the venue of the horrific mass massacre. The scars are still evident in the form of bullet marks on the walls. After a drive through the holy city, you will be driven in the late afternoon to the Wagah Border, where you can be a part of the thrilling Indo-Pakistan Changing of the Guard Ceremony.
Day 4. To Dharamshala
Morning drive to Dharamshala. Afternoon at leisure. Dharamshala is often called Little Lhasa, as it is the headquarter of the Tibetan Government in exile and home to Dalai Lama. Two nights at Chonor House.
Day 5. Dharamshala
Early morning walk to the town of McLeod Ganj to see the devotees engrossed in their morning prayer. After breakfast, visit the Buddhist sites, including the Namgyal Monastery, where the Dalai Lama has his residence and administrative offices. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6. To Pragpur
Morning drive to Pragpur. Afternoon at leisure, when you can to stroll in the lovely 12-acre orchard of the hotel. Two nights at the Judge’s Court.
Day 7. Pragpur
Today you will explore the delightful heritage village of Pragpur where time has stood still. There are many beautiful houses, some over 300 years old, accessible through narrow cobbled streets. Local silversmiths sell charming handcrafted trinkets.
Day 8. To Shimla
Enjoy a delightful and picturesque drive up the winding mountain road to Shimla, once the summer capital of the British Raj. Three nights at the Oberoi Cecil.
Day 9. Shimla
Morning sightseeing includes the Viceroy’s Lodge and highlights of the Mall including the Gaiety Theatre and Christ’s Church. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 10. Shimla
Day at leisure.
Day 11. To Delhi
In the morning, board the delightful Toy Train to Kalka Station. Here you will board the Shatabdi Express train to Delhi. Two nights at Shangri-La Eros Hotel in Delhi.
Day 12. Delhi
Full day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi including the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk bazaar, India Gate, Humayan’s Tomb and the Qutab Minar.
Day 13. On the final day
Departure for your home country.
