Fly from home country to Delhi
Day 03 - Drive to Bharatpur
After breakfast, drive to Bharatpur. 04 nights at a Hotel. Afternoon a guided birdwatching tour with Brijendra Singh. Keoladeo national park in Bharatpur is one of the best places in the world to get close to a fantastic array of wetland species. A photographers dream if you love water birds! November to March is a great time to photograph birds such as Painted Stork, Asian Open-billed Stork and many other nesting birds as this is the time of year, they nest close to the birding tracks.
Day 04 - Bharatpur
Full day birdwatching tour inside Keoladeo national park with packed lunch from Hotel.
Day 05 - Byana and Band Baretha
Full day visit to Bayana and Band Baretha (with packed lunch from Hotel). Birdwatching trips can bring many resident predictable birds along with great surprises. November to March is a good time for migration with birds such as Bluethroat and Rosefinches arriving and raptors such as Oriental Honey Buzzard should also be on the cards. Byana and Band Baretha are also good places to search for a wide variety of waders including the amazing looking Great Thick-Knee.
Day 06 - To Chambal River
02 hr boat safari on Chambal Rive followed by birding with naturalist in the fields of Chambal area. Staying at the famous Birders Lodge in Bharatpur provides a great opportunity to explore a diverse range of places such as Chambal River. Here birds such as River Tern and Indian Skimmer mingle with Gharial, a fantastic fish-eating crocodile and Gangetic Dolphin.
Day 07 - To Ranthambore National Park
Late morning drive to Ranthambore National Park. 04 nights at a Hotel. It is one of the prime project tiger reserves. The locale is spectacular, with the rugged Ravelled & Vindhya hills, highland boulder plateaus, and lakes & rivers providing a home to hundreds of species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. Ranthambore is noted for a visible tiger and leopard population. There are about 25 species of mammals including caracal, fishing cat, leopard cat, wild cat, jungle cat, civet, langur monkey, sloth bear, wild boar, sambar deer, spotted deer, Indian gazelle, nilgai antelope, golden jackal, Bengal fox and striped hyena. There are more than 240 species of colourful birds.
In the off hours you could relax in the hotel or explore Ranthambore Fort. The 1000-year-old fort is atop a hill and is a spectacular military bastion.
Day 08 - 10 - Ranthambore National Park
Full day of Jungle activities: early morning & afternoon game drives in to the Park in a shared jeep. The variety of habitat gives rise to a wonderful mix of animals to spot – the grassland plateau is home to the Gaur (Indian bison) and four-horned Antelope, whilst in dense clumps of forest shy jungle cat and civet roam. Here Project Tiger is actively pursuing conservation projects in the Park, increasing the chance to see Tiger.
Day 11 - Train to Delhi
Early morning transfer to Sawai Madhopur Railway station to board NZM JAN SHTBDI EXP Train in Chair Car for Delhi (packed breakfast from Hotel), dep at 0700hrs. Disembark at Nazimuddin railway station at 1245hrs and then drive to Hotel for overnight stay. Afternoon free in the heart of the city.
Day 12 - International Departure
Departure transfer to Delhi airport to fly home country.
