Exploring the historic plains of North India on train tracks is a novel experience. A treasure trove of culture, heritage and royalty, Rajasthan is a resplendent retreat.

Dotted with imposing forts and historic palaces, Rajasthan is also home to the Great Indian Thar Desert. Beginning from the city of contrasts, Delhi, you will be taken to royal Rajasthan through the expansive land of golden sands, Jaisalmer. You will visit sites where erstwhile royalty has left its indelible traces, the ruined legacy of Osian, the city painted in cool blue,Jodhpur; the utopia of Udaipur where dreams intermingle with reality; and the capital city of Jaipur. You then moves towards the east to Agra where the Taj Mahal adorns alongside the heritage city of victory, Fatehpur Sikri.

Day 1. To Delhi

Departure from your home country for Delhi.

Day 2. Delhi

Arrival Delhi and then on meeting, assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel by a private chauffeur-driven air-conditioned car. Check in at the Hotel Royal Plaza for 01 night. In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing of Old Delhi including an exhilarating cycle rickshaw ride to the Jama Masjid through the bustling Chandni Chowk, where you will visit Khari Baoli – Asia’s largest spice market. You will ride through Red Fort and its back roads, which were the centre of the city Shah Jehanabad in the Mughal times.

Day 3. To Jaisalmer by overnight train

In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of dynamic New Delhi including the impressive Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and the India Gate. Drive past the Parliament House and visit Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial.

Day 4. Jaisalmer

Arrive in Jaisalmer at mid-day. Meeting, assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel The Desert Tulip for 01 night.

Day 5. To Jodhpur by train

After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer including the 12-15th century Jain temples, Folk Museum, Gadi Sagar Tank and the colorfully painted homes known as Havelies. Later in the afternoon, transfer to the railway station to board your train for Jodhpur. Upon arrival in Jodhpur, meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel for 02 nights.

Day 6. Jodhpur

In the morning, visit the 15th C. Meherangarh Fort soaring above the city, with its charming insight into the life and times of the ruling family. Also visit the quiet Jaswant Thada – a marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. In the afternoon, enjoy a Jeep Safari to Bishnoi village.

Day 7. To Udaipur via Ranakpur

In the morning, you will be driven to Udaipur (approximately 6 hrs driving time), en-route visiting the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple.

Day 8. Udaipur

Morning sightseeing of Udaipur, visiting the City Palace Museum, Sahelion-ki-Bari and the Jagdish Temple.

Day 9. To Jaipur by overnight train

Morning Excursion to Nagda and Eklingji.

Day 10. Jaipur

Arrive in Jaipur in the morning and transfer to the hotel for 02 nights. Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. Check in at your hotel.

Day 11. Jaipur

Morning excursion to Amber Fort where you will ascend this hilltop fort on an elephant’s back!

Day 12. To Agra via Bharatpur by train

In time transfer to the railway station to board the train for Bharatpur. Upon arrival, you will be assisted and driven to Agra, en-route visiting the deserted Mughal ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri, built by the Emperor Akbar in the second half of the 16th century. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 13. Agra To Delhi

In the early morning, enjoy a breath-taking sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) to watch the sun slowly caress the white marble, awakening the day and distant memories. After breakfast, visit the Agra Fort- seeing the many varied architectural styles of the complex, built by successive Mughal Rulers and the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula.

Day 14. On the final day

Departure for your home country.
