The majestic Himalayan mountain range is a haven for enthusiasts, students and teachers of geography, geology and ecology. Encompassing over 2500 km in a massive bow from the Indus River in the west to the Brahmaputra in the east, the Himalayan mountain range is an idyllic setting owing to its constantly changing topography and surreal vistas. One can see the ongoing progress of the processes related to mountain building and also witness the impact these have on the plants, animals and people of the region. Apart from the fascinating sciences, the mesmerising landscape can subdue anyone into silent awe.

Over the years, Indus Discoveries has been successfully operating expert-led Earth Sciences field trips to the Himalayas covering North India, Nepal and Bhutan. We have worked with independent scientists, Open University United Kingdom and King Edward VI College, United Kingdom over the past 10 years exploring the geology, ecology and geography of the Himalayas in the Ladakh and Sikkim areas. We are now operating ecology, geology and geography tours to the remote Spiti and Lahul Valley and the Valley of Flowers.
